Pricing and Billing Questions
What does it cost, and when am I charged?
$29 a month for Instant Reply Starter or $97 a month for AI Responder, or 10% less paid annually ($312 and $1,044 a year). Your card goes on file at signup and is not charged until day 8, when your plan begins. Your free trial starts when you connect Thumbtack, so if you never connect, the signup cancels itself and you are never charged at all.
How long does setup take?
Under 30 seconds on Instant Reply Starter, and about 5 minutes on AI Responder. On Starter you write one message and connect Thumbtack. On AI Responder you also answer questions about your services, pricing, tone and service area, so the AI can write in your voice. No coding and no technical setup on either plan.
What is the difference between the two plans?
Instant Reply Starter sends the one message you wrote, and AI Responder writes each reply from your business details. On Starter ($29/month), anything the customer writes back comes to you to answer. AI Responder ($97/month) creates more customized conversations using your business details and instructions, and can ask qualifying questions. Both answer unlimited leads, and you can start on Instant Reply and upgrade from your dashboard whenever you want.
Is there a limit on how many leads it answers?
Neither plan has a monthly cap. Instant Reply Starter sends one fast first reply to every new lead. AI Responder writes full AI replies to every lead: 5 leads or 500, it answers every one. You can upgrade anytime from your dashboard.
How fast does it reply to new leads?

Do I control what it says?
Yes. On Instant Reply you write the message word for word and can edit it anytime. On AI Responder you set the tone, pricing, service area and instructions it writes from, and you can adjust any of it from your dashboard. You can also pause automatic replies, or take over any conversation yourself at any point.
Will it reply correctly to every lead?
No tool can promise that, and we do not. AI replies can get something wrong, which is why you can read every conversation on your dashboard, step in whenever you want, and pause replies entirely. You stay responsible for what goes out under your account, exactly as you would with a human assistant.
Can I cancel?
Yes, from your dashboard, at any time. There is no contract and no cancellation fee. Cancel before day 8 and you pay nothing. Cancel later and replies to new leads stop at the end of the period you already paid for.
What access do you need to my Thumbtack account?
Permission to read your new leads and post replies in the thread on your behalf. You grant it yourself through Thumbtack's own official sign-in, so we never see or store your Thumbtack password. You can revoke it from Thumbtack at any time, which stops SwiftReplAI immediately.
What is the refund request writer?
When a lead is bad (wrong area, wrong job, dead phone number), the refund writer reads the conversation and drafts the refund request for you in Thumbtack's own policy language, with which screenshots to attach. You paste it into Thumbtack's refund form, and Thumbtack reviews every request and makes the final call (how Thumbtack lead refunds work). It is included with AI Responder, and available on Instant Reply Starter as a $19/month add-on ($205/year on annual billing, the same 10% annual discount as the plans), billed on your existing subscription and removable anytime.
